What it takes

It’s the only place in Moore County that takes tires, brush, and construction debris. The Carthage Collection Site takes used motor oil and some batteries. The Eagle Springs Collection Site takes household hazardous waste.

Each item has its own rules. Check before you go.

Moore County rules

  • The landfill charges $66.30 a ton for household trash and $67.35 a ton for construction debris and land clearing debris ($5 minimum). An untarped load still gets in but pays $50 more.
