What it takes

It’s the only place in Craven County that takes tires. The Monette’s Convenience Center takes electronics.

Each item has its own rules. Check before you go.

Craven County rules

  • At the Tuscarora Landfill, tell the scale operator what you’re bringing and unload where staff direct you. Cars and small trucks with household loads use the residential drop-off area. Keep yard waste separate and out of plastic bags; mixed in, it costs twice the trash rate. The landfill takes no motor oil, car batteries, pesticides, or liquids.
