Williamson County convenience centers and dump hours

Middle Tennessee, on Central time

Convenience centers are what most people call the dump. This page covers 10 convenience centers, the Williamson County Landfill, and the Wilson Pike Recycle Drop-Off. Each one’s hours are posted below, with the rules that apply.

What to do with tires, mattresses, paint, and more

Before you go

  • Every driver needs a valid physical driver’s license to enter any Solid Waste property. Tarp and tie down loads in pickups and trailers; Tennessee has a tarp law.

Convenience centers

  • Residents can bring up to 3 cubic yards (about one level pickup truck load) from their primary residence to one center once a day. Bigger loads go to the landfill.Williamson County’s convenience centers page says there’s been no free disposal at the landfill since May 4, 2026, but further down it still says residents with more than 3 cubic yards can take them to the landfill free, up to 5 tons a year.
  • No commercial recycling or waste at any center. Rental properties count as commercial, so their trash and recycling go to the landfill at commercial rates.
  • Brush must be 3 feet long or less. Cardboard goes only in the cardboard recycling container, clean, not in with trash or construction waste.
