What it takes

Jefferson County’s other eight convenience centers take the same items. The Landfill Convenience Center takes tires, appliances, mattresses, some paint, electronics, brush, and some construction debris.

Each item has its own rules. Check before you go.

Jefferson County rules

  • The convenience centers are for Jefferson County residents.
  • Bag all household garbage.
  • The convenience centers take bagged household garbage and recycling: paper, cardboard, plastic, metal, aluminum, and used oil. Appliances, furniture, mattresses, electronics, brush, tires, oil-based paint, and demolition material go to the landfill.
