What it takes
The Newt Road Convenience Center and the City of Albemarle Landfill take appliances and electronics.
Each item has its own rules. Check before you go.
Stanly County rules
- Stanly County’s convenience centers are for households in unincorporated Stanly County and the Town of Badin that pay the solid waste fee; anyone else using them breaks the county’s ordinance. Attendants can turn away oversized loads.
- Every center takes mixed recycling (cans, newspaper, cardboard, plastic jugs and bottles without lids, paper), used motor oil and filters, and cooking oil.
