What it takes
It’s one of three Rowan County convenience centers that take used motor oil. The Rowan County Landfill takes tires and construction debris.
Each item has its own rules. Check before you go.
Rowan County rules
- Recycling is free at the convenience centers, but household garbage is charged by weight: $1 for up to 2.5 pounds, then 25 cents more for each 2.5 pounds (a 40-pound load is $4.75). Truckloads of garbage are $20 for a half load, $35 for a full load, and $50 over the top; bulk items are $5 each. Sort recyclables before you arrive.
