What it takes

It’s the only place in Henderson County that takes used motor oil and batteries. The Henderson County Transfer Station takes tires, mattresses, some paint, and construction debris.

Each item has its own rules. Check before you go.

Henderson County rules

  • The Convenience Center takes household trash (from a kitchen or bathroom) only bag for bag: one bag of trash free for each same-size bag of recycling you bring. Furniture, appliances, mattresses, yard debris, tires, and construction debris go to the transfer station instead. Bring proof that you live in Henderson County; no business vehicles.
