Burke County rules
- Burke County homes pay a $97 yearly residential dwelling fee ($46.56 at the reduced rate) for the convenience centers and the John’s River facility.
- A convenience center takes up to 1 cubic yard of anything at a time; attendants judge it as a pickup bed filled no higher than its sides. Bigger loads go to the John’s River facility. Neither takes gasoline, kerosene, or other hazardous waste.
